In order to take advantage of opportunities, at the same time identify shortcomings, overcome difficulties and limitations, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association organized a Vietnam Farmers' Forum with the theme "Professional Farmer" to create a bridge exchange, identify the situation, open dialogue, discuss, make suggestions and recommendations around the concept of "Professional Farmer".

Speaking at the forum, Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan highly appreciated that this year's forum chose the theme "Professional Farmer", which has attracted the participation of many managers, scientists and experts. Industry leaders and especially 300 delegates of farmers with good production and business in the past 5 years, were voted from patriotic emulation movements launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association. The results of today's forum will contribute to bringing the guidelines and policies of the Party and State to life soon. At the same time, the Vice President praised and congratulated the results, achievements and great contributions of 10.2 million farmer households, of which 3.6 million members are production and business farmers good business, especially the delegates attending the Forum.

Vice President Vo Thi Anh Xuan suggested a number of issues for delegates to discuss and discuss: Firstly, the forum should focus on discussing solutions to successfully implement the goals and targets set out in Resolution No. 19-NQ/TW on agriculture, farmers and rural areas and Resolution No. 20-NQ/TW on collective economy. Specifically: Maintain an average growth rate of the agricultural sector of about 3%/year; increase labor productivity in agriculture from 5.5 to 6%/year on average. The average income of rural people in 2030 will increase by 2.5 - 3 times compared to 2020… Second, clarify the content of the concept of "Professional farmer"? What is farmer intellectualization and how does each farmer change his mind and transform into a professional farmer? The construction of civilized farmers, farmers' intellectualization has been mentioned a lot in recent times, but the realization of that requirement is not easy, first of all, it is necessary to urge the farmers themselves, together with the farmers with the cooperation and contribution of relevant agencies and organizations and the whole society.

Third, we discuss and analyze the practical problems that are posed to our country's agriculture, farmers and rural areas; barriers that make the agricultural economy not very effective, farmers have not fully promoted their role as actors, have not yet decided the value of their goods, agriculture plays a supporting role but cannot become the driving force for the economic development of the country.

It is recommended that farmers, entrepreneurs, scientists and managers frankly raise problems and discuss solutions to overcome existing shortcomings; at the same time, propose to the Party and State specific mechanisms and policies that are more suitable to reality. Fourthly, in order to well implement the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress, Resolution 19, Resolution 20 of the Central Committee, promote the role and position of farmers in the process of national development, a task. It is very important to mobilize, gather and link farmers in accessing knowledge, in renewing thinking, innovating the way of production and business, in organizing life, in dealing with the environment. and the community...
